Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman has been a distinguished professor of psychology since 1993. She is also the director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. Her name is widely praised for her pioneering the science of child eyewitness memories as well as using children who have been abused to testify as legal witnesses. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer, has won many prizes and grants. She consults with numerous countries and agencies around the world regarding policies and research on child abuse in the justice system. She acts as consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She was a part of numerous professional organizations, such as that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the President of the The American Psychological Association's 3 divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families Policies and Practice.
